ok, i have a slight thing for architecture i must admit. most times places that have such style are absolutely dreadful. this place blew me away. yes, its got a lot of quirky character but the place is chock full of charm…in a good way. the leaded glass windows are stunning, there is plenty of space to spread out and the porch area in front as well as off upstairs bedroom is perfect for relaxing and painting or drinking our morning coffee. the location is prime. we love downtown location althoug… Read more

Upon the urging of my girlfriend who has since rented the gorgeous wonderland house, I wish to amend my earlier review by mentioning that not only is it perfect for “lovers” but it is actually large enough for two couples or even a small family unit. It is “well appointed” and has two large areas for separate occupation. So, if you want to fall or stay in love, this is a fine place to have it happen. This is much more than a home away from home. We never wanted to leave! The historic beauty of this property embraces all of the charm of Nevada City and is perfectly located along the main street for easy shopping and dining. We had everything we needed to feel comfortable and the owner Marney is sweet as can be. She is very responsive and accommodating and we will definitely return.

Our stay in this Victorian Cottage was absolutely delightful – it is like being able to vacation in a fairy tale. The house is absolutely gorgeous – a stunning example of architecture – the location in Nevada City is perfect and the furnishings by the owner are so thoughtful and tasteful. I rented the cottage for a weekend in January, and could not have been more pleased! The location is fantastic, and the house is really lovely. There were just two of us, but you could easily sleep 4-6. Marney has done a lovely job with decorating and making sure that everything, and I mean everything, you could possibly need is accounted for – from the wine glasses to the washer and dryer. I am ashamed to say that it has been a year since I spent two nights here with my girlfriends! In three weeks, I am doing flowers for a wedding in town, and the bride and groom are staying here. So, I had to get my act together and write a long overdue review. Attention to detail is what comes to mind about this beautiful house. My wife and I stayed at the Two Room Inn on Sept 8 and 9th to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The place was absolutely beautiful. It was “warm” and comfortable. It was well stocked with everything we need. The stain glasses were gorgeous. The updating to modern day needs was nice but did not overpower the original architecture, which I truly appreciate. Overall, we had a wonderful time.

WOWEE One of my favorites so far… been back twice so far. Will go again and again. The pictures are exactly how it is. Elegant and you need want for anything. On main street but you wouldn’t know it. Peaceful and quiet. The best sleep ever. opened the loft door on to the street while you are sleeping and listen to the birds waking u up. very safe neighborhood. everything is within walking distance
