My husband and I had a wonderfull stay at the 2 Room Inn in May.The house is truly unique,within easy reach of everything. The backyard is beautiful,a great place to relax and very private. Marney is a peach and always responded promptly toany queeries.Definetly will stay again.
My wife and I stayed at the Two Room Inn on Sept 8 and 9th to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The place was absolutely beautiful. It was “warm” and comfortable. It was well stocked with everything we need. The stain glasses were gorgeous. The updating to modern day needs was nice but did not overpower the original architecture, which I truly appreciate. Overall, we had a wonderful time.
Our stay in this Victorian Cottage was absolutely delightful – it is like being able to vacation in a fairy tale. The house is absolutely gorgeous – a stunning example of architecture – the location in Nevada City is perfect and the furnishings by the owner are so thoughtful and tasteful. This place was recommended by a friend and I just so happen to be in need of a Valentine’s weekend getaway. This place was far enough away from the city, priced affordably, and had this cozy charm about it. This house is so much larger than it appears. It can easily accommodate a family of 6-8 comfortably. I have to say that staying at the Two Room Inn was such a pleasure, it was just like home with all of the conveniences. The proprietor has thought of everything to make visitors comfortable and cozy and brochures were placed on a table with information about near by attractions. Before our check-in date we were send information about how to use the amenities where to find extra towels and blankets and information on places to eat and it even had reviews as to what was on the menus. What a great stay we had at the Two Room Inn in Gold Country’s gem of a town, Nevada City, which offers a spectrum of restaurants, lots of galleries, a wide array of shops and the Sierra’s history and beauty. My husband and I loved our week spent in this gorgeous, perfectly outfitted, super clean and comfortable home. It was stocked with everything we needed from washer and dryer, to truly great books and movies, and exceptionally comfortable bed, living room and patio furniture all in terrific shape. I rented the cottage for a weekend in January, and could not have been more pleased! The location is fantastic, and the house is really lovely. There were just two of us, but you could easily sleep 4-6. Marney has done a lovely job with decorating and making sure that everything, and I mean everything, you could possibly need is accounted for – from the wine glasses to the washer and dryer. Upon the urging of my girlfriend who has since rented the gorgeous wonderland house, I wish to amend my earlier review by mentioning that not only is it perfect for “lovers” but it is actually large enough for two couples or even a small family unit. It is “well appointed” and has two large areas for separate occupation. So, if you want to fall or stay in love, this is a fine place to have it happen. But if you want to just make a friendship bond stronger, it is perfect for that as well.… Read more
This is much more than a home away from home. We never wanted to leave! The historic beauty of this property embraces all of the charm of Nevada City and is perfectly located along the main street for easy shopping and dining. We had everything we needed to feel comfortable and the owner Marney is sweet as can be. She is very responsive and accommodating and we will definitely return.
